In 2023,  SBP continued this practice by distributing new bills worth Rs 27 billion in approximately 17,000 business areas nationwide. This initiative was supplemented by the SMS service. This allowed citizens to book new notes by sending their Computer Assisted Citizen ID Card (CNIC)  and the desired bank Filicod code to 8877. After receiving the redemption code, individuals were able to collect  new notes assigned from the designated branch within the specified time period.
